Margo Lewis is a teacher at a local academy as well as an advice columnist for the Cambridge Examiner in England. When a young girl from the academy is kidnapped, Margo (“Dear Amy”) begins to receive what appear to be notes from Bethan Avery, who was also kidnapped — but 20 years ago.
Can this be possible or is it a hoax? When Margo takes the first note to the police, they laugh it off. These can’t possibly be real. How is Bethan able to send them? And why to Dear Amy? The more notes Dear Amy receives, however, the more details are revealed that were never made public. Before long, the police are working with Amy to track down and save Bethan.
This psychological thriller slowly unveils the interworking of the minds of a kidnapper along with that of the kidnapped. Traveling across the county, Margo eventually discovers the source of the notes and the surprising reality of the past. Book clubs that like mystery and intrigue will want to read this book!
